Hello, and happy Monday.
This will be the last newsletter of 2021! (I’ll be back in your inbox on Monday, January 10.) For those of you who have recently subscribed, and for those of you have been with me since 2020, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for reading my words every Monday. When I began this newsletter, I never anticipated how much joy it would give me. This newsletter has given me my own space to come to my ideas, an accountability mechanism for chipping away at my goals, a sense of consistency and structure during moments of chaos and transition.
Aside from those more personal aspects, though, tiny driver & the td book club have slowly illuminated a community of folks who just so brilliant themselves. Every week, I am grounded and comforted by the knowledge that I am just one person in a larger community of folks (read: you) who are thinking and working alongside me. I’ve learned so much from your emails, comments, tweets, and discussions. Thank you for making this such a generative community of people.
I’d like to take this chance to say a big, big thank you. Thank you for simply reading, thank you for engaging with my words, and thank you for sharing my words with others who are also in your communities. It means so much. I appreciate you so much.
In the spirit of thanks and growth, I’d love it if you’d consider taking the end of the year tiny driver survey. I asked folks to complete a similar survey last year, and it was truly so helpful to help plan the newsletter’s future, as well as make adjustments in my content where I was able. Your feedback means a lot, as I want to learn more about how readers of tiny driver interact with the newsletter, what's going well and what I could be doing better.
By filling out the survey, you'd be helping me make decisions about the future of the newsletter and potential projects that I think would benefit the whole community.
Answering the mandatory questions should not take more than 3 minutes. There are a few optional free-flow questions at the bottom where you can answer as much or as little as you want, and even completely skip if you're in a rush.
As always, thanks so much for reading through, and I'll see you in the next one!
Warmly,
Ida
